Actor Akshay Kumar expressed his views on the current shortage of LPG cylinders while participating in an event. Akshay went to the BMC headquarters with the Mumbai BJP President Amit Satam. There, Akshay announced the commencement of the cleanliness contest of the Municipal Corporation named the 'Mumbai Clean League.' Akshay also spoke of the shortage of LPG gas cylinders.

A shortage of LPG has emerged in Mumbai and surrounding areas. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal stated that the state has enlisted police protection for the transportation and distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to curb the growing black marketing. Bhujbal stated that this step was taken in response to the increasing incidents of illegal sale of LPG cylinders.
