The Story at the Heart of the Film

"Don't Be Shy" follows Shyamili "Shy" Das, a 20-year-old who believes she has her life entirely figured out, only for her carefully planned world to spiral unpredictably out of control. The premise taps into a familiar coming-of-age tension between control and chaos, a theme the film's music appears designed to underscore through its free-spirited soundscape.

Cast and Creative Pedigree

The film stars Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati in lead roles, with Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik rounding out the cast in pivotal parts. It is written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji, and produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their Eternal Sunshine Productions banner, with Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani of Chalkboard Entertainment serving as co-producers.
