Naveen Kasturia Slams Bollywood’s Hierarchy Culture: ‘No One Has the Right to Disrespect Crew Members’

Jio Hotstar's series 'Salakar' actor Naveen Kasturia is now a well-known name in the OTT world. Meanwhile, Naveen has also worked with many Bollywood stars and senior people and has seen them on the set. Now, Naveen talked about some senior people holding big positions in the industry and told how these senior people behave with the crew members on the set.

In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Naveen talked about the importance given to hierarchy in Bollywood. He said, “Sometimes on film sets, a person who is very high up in the industry talks to the crew members in a very disrespectful manner. I think this is a problem in India. Many times if you see in Mumbai, when you go to a society, the guard stands up. What kind of culture is this?

The guard is there to do his job, but what is actually happening? I think initially, some angry woman must have felt bad because the guard did not stand up when she came in. He must have scolded her, and since then, this notion has been established in society that it is necessary to stand up.”

The actor further said that at a basic level people do not respect everyone. Often, if someone feels that someone else earns less, they talk to him disrespectfully. I think this is a problem all over the country. But when these people go out for shooting, they realize that they cannot talk to junior artists or crew members in the same way there. Everyone is respected outside, and they do not expect any culture of yes-huzuri.

Naveen believes that in Indi,a people often focus on who is big or small. This is visible on film sets. I feel that no one has the right to disrespect, shout or abuse others. Unfortunately, this happens a lot on film sets, and it is very wrong. He believes that at a basic level, everyone deserves respect.
