The actress wrote, "26 years to Padayappa and the first day of shooting for Jailer 2." This post created a wave of excitement among the fans. In the film, Ramya will be seen playing the role of Vijaya Pandian aka Viji, wife of Rajinikanth's character Muthuvel Pandian.
The shooting of 'Jailer 2' is currently going on in 'Attappady', Kerala. Rajinikanth reached Coimbatore on Thursday for the shooting. After reaching here, he informed the journalists that this schedule was 20 days. According to sources associated with the set, actress Mirna will also be seen in an important role in this sequel. The shooting of this film, being made under the banner of Sun Pictures, first started in Chennai and now it is progressing in the beautiful locations of Kerala.
The first 'Jailer' film created a stir at the box office in 2023. With a collection of Rs 348.55 crore, it became one of the biggest hits of Tamil cinema. The success of this blockbuster has raised the expectations of the audience for 'Jailer 2' to the seventh sky. Sun Pictures had announced the start of shooting on March 10 this year.
