Saif Ali Khan Reveals Why He Was Dropped From His First Film ‘Bekhudi’ Before Debuting With ‘Parampara’

Famous Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan has been in the industry for over 3 decades now, and he dominates the film world on the basis of his acting performance. Although everyone knows that Saif made his debut in the year 1993 with the film Parampara. But this was not his first film.

Saif Ali Khan would have made his debut in the film world a year before Parampara, but he was suddenly thrown out of the film, and another actor was cast in his place. This film was Bekhudi in which Kajol and Kamal Sadana were in the lead roles.

Saif Ali Khan was first cast in the film Bekhudi, directed by Rahul Rawail. The actor had also started shooting for the film, but then one day he was dropped from the film. One of the reasons behind this is believed to be Saif's girlfriend.

According to Wild Films India, while talking about his struggle, Saif had said, "What does struggle mean? Sit in an auto rickshaw and take 10 rounds. Sit in someone's office for 3 hours. This is called struggle. I also had a struggle but it was different. I was thrown out of my first film because my director sahab said that either you leave your girlfriend or do the film. It was a moral choice."

At the same time, in an interview given to Mumbai Mirror in 2020, Saif Ali Khan revealed that perhaps Rahul did not like his performance, that is why he was thrown out of the film. He said, "I had to break through the artificial cobwebs and sing a line, 'Chahat ki raahon mein, kyun itna darrti hai'. It was not easy because my expressions changed from 'chahat ki raahon mein' to 'kyun itna darrti hai'. I must have performed really badly because immediately after that Rahul Rawail threw me out of the film saying that I was not showing interest. I must admit that scene was very bad."
