Sonu Nigam was born on 30 July 1973 in Faridabad. According to media reports, Sonu Nigam has been singing since the age of four. He first sang Mohammad Rafi's song 'Kya Hua Tera Wada' on stage with his father. At the age of 11, Sonu came to Mumbai with his father. He took training from classical singer Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. As a playback singer, Sonu sang his first song for the film 'Janam' (1990), which was never formally released. Sonu sang his first song for Doordarshan's serial Talaash (1992). After this, he made his Bollywood debut with the song 'O Aasman Wale Zameen' from the film 'Aaja Meri Jaan'. Sonu got great success when his song "Achha Sila Diya Tune Mere Pyar Ka" was released.
