Sudip Sharma Says He Has No Desire to Work With Shah Rukh Khan or Amitabh Bachchan

Unlike other producers and writers, Sudip Sharma, who is the maker of "Paatal Lok" and "Kohra" series, has a slightly different view. In a recent interview with Digital Commentary, Sudip Sharma made a significant revelation. When asked if he had any dreams of working with Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan, Sudip said, "No, I never had such a desire. That's why I never even tried to do it." I never came here to work with any particular star. I came here to tell my story, the story I've always wanted to tell. To make films I've seen and loved. Working with stars has never been my interest. In fact, even if I got such an opportunity, I'd be a little nervous because it would be a huge responsibility.

He further added, "Look, a star comes with a certain image. Then the story and character of the film have to be crafted according to that image. I don't know that approach. I just want to write a true and strong character. Whoever plays it, they should be completely immersed in it. I don't want to write a story thinking about how fans will react or how stardom will affect the character. Often, these things become more discussed than the film itself, and I'm not interested in that at all."

Sudeep began his career as a feature screenwriter with the Anushka Sharma-starrer "NH10." The film was inspired by real-life honor killings and was widely praised for its dark and realistic tone. He subsequently wrote the screenplays and dialogues for films like "Udta Punjab" and "Sonchiriya." These films received rave reviews from critics, but failed to perform as well as expected at the box office.
