Thalapathy Vijay Explains Decision to Quit Acting at ‘Jana Nayagan’ Audio Launch

Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay is making headlines these days for the upcoming movie "Jana Nayagan". The movie will be titled "Jana Neta" when it comes out in Hindi. A grand audio launch event was also recently hosted in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Stars and team members were also seen attending this event. During this press conference, the actor also stated that he will be abandoning cinema and acting after this movie.

Speaking at the event, Vijay said that he decided to leave cinema to stand up for his fans. These fans have given him everything, even a 'kottai' (fort or stronghold). The actor further said, "When I entered cinema, I thought I was building a small sandcastle here. But you all have built a palace for me. The fans helped me build a fort. So I have decided to stand up for them. For those fans who sacrificed everything for me, I am leaving cinema."

Specially thanking his Malaysian fans, Vijay said, "To succeed in life, you may not need friends, but you do need a powerful enemy. When you have a powerful enemy, you become even more powerful. So, history will repeat itself in 2026. Let us be ready to welcome it to the public. Thank you, Malaysia."

"Jana Nayakan," directed by H. Vinoth, also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamita Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon, Priyamani, and Naren in pivotal roles. The film's audio launch event will be broadcast on Zee Tamil on January 4, 2026. "Jana Nayakan" will be released in theaters on January 9, 2026, during Pongal. Prabhas's "The Raja Saab" and Sivakarthikeyan's "Parasakthi" are also releasing on the same day.
