Recently, Actress Rani Mukerji received the National Award for the film "Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway" on Wednesday. After winning the award, she reacted, saying that winning the first National Film Award in her 30-year career is an emotional moment. Rani dedicated the honor to her late father, Ram Mukerji.

On Tuesday, at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony, President Draupadi Murmu presented Rani Mukerji with the Best Actress award for her performance in "Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway." The film, directed by Ashima Chibber, was released in March 2023.
On receiving the award, Rani said, "I am truly overwhelmed to receive my first National Award in my 30-year career as an actress." This honor means the world to me. I want to dedicate it to my late father, who always dreamed of this moment for me.

The 47-year-old actress said in a statement, "I miss him deeply today, and I know that it was his blessings and my mother's inspiration that guided me in playing Mrs. Chatterjee."

She also expressed gratitude to her fans and the cast and crew of "Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway."

Rani Mukerji said, "The entire team of Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway poured their hearts into this powerful story. I am deeply grateful to each and every one of them. Thank you, my fans, for standing by me through every up and down. Your unwavering love and support have been my greatest inspiration. I know how much this award means to all of you. It brings me immense joy and happiness to see how happy you are."

The film "Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway" is the story of Debika Chatterjee (Mukherjee), an Indian mother living in Norway. It shows her fighting the authorities to regain custody of her children after they are forcibly separated from her.
Mukherjee will next be seen in the crime drama film 'Mardaani 3'.
