Talking about the film in the cover interview of Masala, Farhan Akhtar said that the story of this film is about the war that Shaitan Singh and his warriors fought. This story has now become the subject of legends. When I heard this story, not only of Shaitan Singh, but also of the soldiers who fought with him, it really inspired me. It was very inspiring to realise how much you can do for your people and society if you are determined. That feeling really impacted me.
The actor further said that when you do this, you feel an amazing sense of patriotism. It somehow brings out the meaning of being an Indian. It awakens something inside you. Talking further about the ideology of the actors, Farhan said that all of us artists have a desire to move forward. But this is a story that has stood the test of time. The fact that it has reached me and the excitement of making it after almost 64 years, says a lot in itself.
'120 Bahadur' is based on the incredible true story of 120 Indian soldiers who stood their ground in the Battle of Rezang La during the Indo-China War in 1962, which is one of the bravest moments in Indian military history. Directed by Rajneesh Ghai and produced by Excel Entertainment, the film will release in theatres on November 21.
