Actor Ajay Arya, who plays the role of Tony in Mrinal Abhigyan Jha Productions’ Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, says that he was interested in the show since the word go. He adds that he loves playing his new character.

“When you read or listen to the title Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, the first thing that comes to your mind is Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, their romantic story. The second thing is late actor Rishi Kapoor's Karz where he is reincarnated to take revenge, love finds it way to find its destiny. The title is so powerful, and, thus, people want to know more about it.”

He adds, “I am doing a positive role after such a long time. I am playing the role of a catholic guy, madly in love with Geetu. He is waiting for 10 years to get his love, this role is very romantic. Tony is very happy that he has finally getting his love after 10 years. I had forgotten how to do romantic role, and I am feeling nostalgic playing Tony as I remember the initial days of my career when I would play romantic roles.”

Talking about his role, he says, “Tony is a catholic guy who is in love with a non-catholic girl. After so many hardships he finally gets the girl. I am a very introvert guy and I don't know how to express my emotions, I am totally opposite the character I am playing. I love to accept challenges and whatever character I have played in my career have been opposite to me.”

Working with MAJ Productions has been a treat so far, he says, adding, “It’s my first show with MAJ Productions and the best part about this is that I started shooting on the day of my birthday. They gave me such a warm welcome. They celebrated my birthday on the set with cake cutting and a celebration. They made me feel special, the experience of working with them is very sweet. I haven't met them personally yet but the day I meet them both I am going to be thanking them.”

He adds, “The role is very good and I know so many actors in the show in the past as well, so the rewarding aspect for me is that meeting and working with them again. I am very thankful to the channel and producers to have given me a chance to work with them.”
