Announcement of documentary series Angry Young Man based on the life of Salim-Javed, Salman Khan shared the first look
The much-awaited docu-series based on the life of legendary screenwriters Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar is set to stream on Prime Video from August 20. Announcing this and sharing its first look, Salman Khan posted on Instagram. Through this, the story of this famous pair of the 70s will be brought to the fans.
According to Prime Video, the title of the documentary series is Angry Young Man. The storyline will be part of the life journey of writer duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. It will be a three-part release. This unmatched pair gave the industry some great films like Sholay, Zanjeer, Deewar, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Don in the 1970s.
The first look poster of this documentary has just been shared from the hands of Salman Khan. Work has been going on for it during the past two years, and now it is finally prepared to stream on August 20, 2024. All these created a personal, candid account of his life, his writings, and his legacy.
Salim-Javed dominated the cinema for nearly 12 years. Together, the team scripted the story of one hit film after another and earned a few awards. Long after their separation, the pair remained in the headlines. Quite simply, Indian cinema has not seen such a great pairing since then.
This web series will be directed by Namrata Rao, and it will mark her debut as a director. Angry Young Men produced by Salman Khan Films, Excel Media and Entertainment, and Tiger Baby. At the same time, Salma Khan, Salman Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti are its executive producers.
Speaking on this, Salman Khan told Prime Video, “Two intelligent, smart, and iconic men, both the best at what they do, who have a deep respect for each other's work ethic and integrity - the 'Angry Young Men' of Indian cinema. Growing up, it was amazing to see my father and Javed Sahab working together in films.”
