Anupam broke down after Tanvi The Great flopped, said- 'I have not been able to pay the actors yet'

Anupam Kher again occupied the director's chair after nearly 23 years and presented a movie called 'Tanvi The Great'. It is a week since the movie got released, but the movie failed to do any miracles at the box office. Not just this, this Rs 50 crore budget film has failed to earn even Rs 2 crore at the box office in a week. The director and actor of the film along with being the producer is Anupam Kher. In this situation, Anupam Kher is unhappy that the film has been unsuccessful at the box office. He reports that he has not managed to pay the fees of actors yet.
In a conversation with Republic, Anupam Kher expressed disappointment over Tanvi The Great's failure to make good collections at the box office. The director-producer said that Tanvi has not given any tremendous collections or anything. For the last 10 years, cinema has become like a business. We feel that if the film does not earn well, it means the film is not good. I am also a part of this business world. But when we made the budget, it was around 50 crores. There was a gentleman who said that he would give 50 percent of the budget, which is a huge amount. All the preparations were done and then 1 month before the shoot, I was told that he would not be able to finance the film.
With the sudden withdrawal of the financier, Anupam had to depend on another independent financier. Regarding this, Anupam says that apart from India, I called some of my friends in the US as well. Our film had 10 co-producers. This is a kind of crowd funding. I sent them the synopsis of the film and they had nothing to do with the film. They are all businessmen and only work in banks or are doctors. I told them that I will return the money when the film is released. But none of them has asked for it yet.
