Vijay Varma is eagerly awaiting the launch of his latest series, "Matka King." He is actively promoting his series. While Vijay Varma openly discussed the issue of trolling and the injustice that followed his break-up with Tamannaah Bhatia, he explained why he was forced to stop using social media because it led to his separation.
Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma were once one of the most discussed couples in Bollywood. The relationship between the two did not work out, and they parted ways amicably. However, their separation sparked much speculation and trolling on social media.
Now, speaking about social media trolling, Vijay Verma said, "When I realized that the discussions were focused on everything other than my work, I decided to stay away from social media. It also helped me reconnect with my family and friends, whom I hadn't been able to find time for over the past few years."
In a conversation with News18, Vijay Verma said about online hate, "When I was growing up, speaking ill of someone on a public platform was considered wrong and not appreciated. Those who spoke ill were considered wrong. Now everything has changed. No one is saying anything to the one who is abusing. Now everything has turned upside down. No one is saying anything to the abuser. In fact, more people are abusing the people being abused than supporting them."
Expressing his inability to adapt to the rapidly changing world around him, Vijay said that the culture has completely changed. The way people talk and comment has become more direct and personal. Sometimes, a lot of fabricated stories and lies are written about you.
When I realized that this wasn't my intention in entering the film industry, I focused back on what was important to me. This allowed me to reconnect with my family. I recently moved into a bigger house. I make sure my family visits me often. I'm also spending more time with my friends now.
Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia dated for almost two years. They reportedly decided to separate in March 2025. While the reason for their separation remains unclear, several reports claimed that Tamannaah wanted to get married and give their relationship a name. But Vijay Verma did not think so at that time.
