In 2021, Akshay Kumar donated ₹1 crore for constructing a new building in the government middle school in Jammu and Kashmir. Consequently, due to Akshay Kumar’s contribution, a new building has been constructed in the government middle school in the valley of Gurez, Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir.
The new school building is named after Akshay Kumar's father. It is now called the 'Shri Hari Om Bhatia Education Block'. The school building houses classrooms, a computer lab, a library, and office space for teachers, while also providing numerous facilities for students.
According to locals, Akshay Kumar visited the area in 2021 at the invitation of the Border Security Force (BSF). Upon seeing the condition of the school, he donated ₹1 crore (approximately $10 million USD). This donation has now been used to revitalize the school.
On the career front, Akshay Kumar recently released his horror-comedy film "Bhoot Bangla." The film did well at the box office. He will soon be seen in "Welcome to the Jungle." The film boasts a large star cast, including Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, Arshad Warsi, and Sunil Shetty.
