As Twisha Sharma died just a few months ago following her marriage, the matter has made quite a buzz. The messages which Twisha had sent to her friends and relatives before dying have raised serious concerns. Meanwhile, actor Dheekshit Shetty, who acted with her in the film 'Mugguru Monagallu,' has expressed his shock too.
Deekshit Shetty was recently seen in the film "Girlfriend" (2025) with Rashmika Mandanna. Expressing shock over Twisha's death, he said that she was extremely hardworking and committed to her work. Actors and film directors who worked with Twisha Sharma have expressed shock over her death. Dhikshit Shetty said that he was deeply shocked to hear the news of her death. Dhikshit further said that he remembers Twisha as someone who was completely dedicated to her work.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Dhikshit Shetty said, "This is very shocking news. I always knew her as a hardworking and dedicated girl who had immense passion for everything she did. She was full of life. It is very shocking to hear the news of her death." Dikshit Shetty said that they had not been in touch. They last spoke four years ago. He said that he was not even aware that Twisha was married.
According to Dhikshit, "I didn't even know that Twisha was married. We had just worked together on a film, and after that, she returned home. She told me she wanted to complete her master's degree and that acting wasn't what she had expected. Her brother was in the army, and she realized acting wasn't her cup of tea, so she just wanted to go back and settle down with her family.
"Mugguru Monagallu" director Abhilash Reddy also recalled meeting Twisha's family at a screening and said the news came as a shock. "I met her parents on the day of our film's screening, and they are all very sweet people. The news of Twisha's death is very sad and shocking," he said.
Twisha, a 33-year-old Noida resident, was found dead on May 12 at the home of her husband, lawyer Samarth Singh, in Bhopal's Katara Hills area. Police have registered a case of dowry harassment and abetment to suicide against Samarth Singh and his mother, retired judge Giribala Singh. Police are investigating allegations of dowry harassment and abetment to suicide against Twisha's husband and mother-in-law. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate these allegations. Twisha was two months pregnant at the time of her death. Before entering the corporate world, she worked in the Telugu film "Mugguru Monagallu" (2021) and the Hindi film "Zara Sambhal Ke" (2018). During her modeling days, she also won the title of "Miss Pune."
