Chandrika Tandon shared a post expressing the happiness with the praise she received from PM Modi

Indian-American singer Chandrika Tandon recently won her first-ever Grammy Award. After winning, singer Chandrika Tandon received greetings and wishes from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a social media post, she then thanked PM Modi for wishing and praising her.

Chandrika Tandon is an entrepreneur and a singer and is a sister of PepsiCo's former CEO, Indra Nooyi. She won a Grammy in the 'Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album' category for her 'Triveni' album on Sunday. She won a first-ever career Grammy.

Chandrika wrote in her Instagram post, "It is a historic moment when the Prime Minister of India appreciates Indian global artists. This is a very kind and encouraging gesture! I feel proud and honored. Thank you Narendra Modi ji. Love, light, laughter." Along with this, Chandrika also shared an old photo of a meeting with Prime Minister Modi in the US in 2023.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated Chandrika on winning the Grammy Award and praised her devotion to Indian culture. PM Modi wrote in his post, "Congratulations to @chandrikatandon on winning the Grammy for the album Triveni. We take great pride in her accomplishments as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and of course, music! It is commendable how she has remained passionate about Indian culture and has been working to popularise it. She is an inspiration for several people. I fondly recall meeting her in New York in 2023." Chandrika Tandon won the award along with her colleagues, South African flutist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto.
