There is much talk about Varun Dhawan owing to the upcoming release of his movie titled "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai". This is his fourth collaboration with his father, David Dhawan. Before, the duo has been seen on the big screen in "Main Tera Hero", "Coolie No. 1" and "Judwaa 2". The romantic comedy is set to hit the screens on June 5. In previous interviews, Varun mentioned his experience with making the film with Ms. Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. Discussing the movie, Varun mentioned that his father, David, was sick.
Speaking about working on David Dhawan's film, Varun said, "When you work on a David Dhawan film, it's like a family. My father's health fluctuated throughout the process, and there was a time when he was in the ICU." The actor shared that Manish Paul, Jimmy Shergill, and other co-stars gave his father immense love and helped him complete the film.
In an interview with Bombay Times, Varun shared that if he is the hero in "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai," the credit goes to his co-stars, Mrunal and Pooja. The actor admitted that he can't call himself a "hero" because he is a "red flag" in the film. Varun feels that even if his character shines, it's only because of the support of his co-stars. "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai" is produced by Tips Films and Maximilian Films. In addition to the lead cast, the supporting cast includes Mouni Roy, Chunky Pandey, Rakesh Bedi, Kubbra Sait, and others.
