Riddhima Kapoor Sahni Debuts at 45, Shares Screen with Daughter in Emotional First Film

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, age 45, daughter of actor Rishi Kapoor and actress Neetu Kapoor, makes her debut with her maiden film "Daadi Ki Shaadi." She is the oldest member of the Kapoor family to venture into films at this age. This debut is very emotional for her, as it marks the first time she will be sharing the screen with her daughter, Samara.
In an interview with Screen, Riddhima explained that facing the camera on a film set at the age of 45 was a new experience for her. She also spoke about her daughter, Samara's small role. Riddhima is married to businessman Bharat Sahni and has a daughter.
Riddhima said, "This feeling is very unique and emotional. It feels like a cycle of life has come full circle. I know that my father is always with me and blessing me in every decision. This thought gives me immense courage and comfort. To be honest, starting something new at this age was the biggest challenge. A new beginning brings a little fear, but also an equal amount of excitement."
Riddhima also revealed that during the shooting of this film, she left her daughter alone at home for the first time. This was the first time she did so since Rishi Kapoor's cancer treatment in New York in 2019.
The film also features a special moment where Riddhima will be seen in the song "Senti" with her mother Neetu Kapoor and daughter Samara.
