‘Why Do You Want to Get Me Divorced?’: Kanika Maheshwari Reacts to Viral Speculation

Actor Kanika Maheshwari, who gained fame through the television series 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', cleared the air about rumors regarding her personal life. While giving an interview, she clarified that she is not divorced.

According to Kanika, she and her husband stay in separate cities, yet that doesn’t mean that there are any issues between them. This is because her husband stays in Delhi while she stays in Mumbai, and they are separated due to professional reasons.

Laughing off the rumors, Kanika said, "He is not my ex. I am not divorced. I don't know who started this rumor. Why do you want to get me divorced? He is in Delhi and I am in Mumbai, but we are still married."

She also remarked that people often spread stories these days without knowing the truth. Reports regarding her relationship surfaced in 2023, followed by rumors of divorce in 2024.

Speaking on this, Kanika said, "People have already labeled me as divorced. I don't know who spread this news. Journalism has become a business these days; only what sells gets shown."

Kanika added that despite living in different cities, the love in their relationship remains strong. She noted that there is a unique charm to a long-distance marriage like theirs.

It is worth noting that Kanika Maheshwari married businessman Ankur Ghai in 2012. The couple welcomed a son in 2015.
