Hansal Mehta Announces New Films Including Pralaya Starring Ranveer Singh

Hansal Mehta and producer Sahil Saigal's True Story Films have announced new projects. These include Hansal Mehta's action film 'Porbandar', Ajitpal Singh's next film 'Kehar Singh', and the cannibal horror project 'Mehfooz'. The company has also shared new details about the Ranveer Singh-starrer post-apocalyptic thriller 'Pralaya'.

According to Variety, the company, launched by Hansal Mehta and Saigal in January 2025, is moving forward with a large slate of films across genres and languages. One of the biggest films is "Pralay," directed by Jai Mehta and starring Ranveer Singh.

This film is being co-produced under Singh's banner. Speaking about it, Hansal Mehta said that it's a film that hasn't been made in India yet, a film that India has never seen before. An international team has joined the project, and shooting is expected to begin later this year.

Also included in the list of new films is "Porbandar," directed by Hansal Mehta. The film is named after the coastal city in Gujarat associated with Mahatma Gandhi, but Mehta said that this project takes a completely different approach. He said that on one hand, Porbandar is about Mahatma Gandhi, and on the other, it's an action film.

Another new film is "Kehar Singh," directed by Ajitpal Singh, director of "Fire in the Mountains." The company described it as a grand film. However, more details will be released later. Additionally, there's a cannibal horror film titled "Mehfooz," which has already wrapped production and has a studio attached, but the search for a director is still ongoing.

The company is also producing "Dilakshi" in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios. Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, the film marks his Hindi cinema debut and features music by A.R. Rahman. In terms of series, the banner co-produced Netflix's "Family Business" and is working on another show.
