On Friday, the Ministry of External Affairs made important announcements about Salman Khan's film "Battle of Galwan." During the press briefing, the Ministry made it clear that they do not have any involvement in the projects undertaken by the film.
According to ANI, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal answered questions regarding the film "Battle of Galwan" on Friday. He clarified that the Ministry of External Affairs has no role in such projects. Jaiswal said, "We have come to know that plans are being made to make such a film." Matters related to filmmaking in India are handled by the relevant authorities. As far as we are concerned, the Ministry of External Affairs has no role in this or any such project.
Salman Khan's upcoming film is titled "Battle of Galwan." The makers shared a teaser for the film on December 27, 2025, the actor's birthday. This sparked controversy. The teaser was criticized by China's state-run media outlet, Global Times, claiming that the film distorts facts. The film, "Battle of Galwan," is based on the 2020 military clash in the Galwan Valley on the India-China border. The film is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
Salman Khan will appear as an army officer in the movie. This is also evident from the teaser, as he is fighting the Chinese army. Chitrangada Singh will act alongside Salman Khan. The movie will hit the screens on April 17.
