With experiential simulations, role-plays for emergencies, and real-time decision - making simulations, his students learn to function at the centre of the storm. They're not mere academics - trained responders mentored by a person who's witnessed disasters play out and understand how to react when systems fail.
His approach to education - one centered on empathy, execution, and empowerment is bridging academia and ground reality. In so doing, he has built a new generation of disaster-ready citizens.
