Famous singer P Jayachandran is no more. He was 80 years old. Jayachandran died during the treatment at a private hospital. He was admitted to a hospital after falling at home on Thursday. He was sick for a long time. Jayachandran is especially known for his contribution to Malayalam cinema. After his death, there was a wave of mourning in the entertainment world.
Jayachandran sang more than 16,000 songs in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. He won numerous prizes for his contributions to Indian music among which are the National Film Award and the JC Daniel Award of the Government of Kerala. Jayachandran was granted the National Award for 'Shiva Shankar Sharan Sarva Vibho' for Sri Narayana Guru.
