Suriya and Jyothika's daughter Diya enters films, makes directorial debut with 'Leading Light'
Suriya's Daughter's First Movie: Actor Suriya's daughter Diya is now following in her parents' footsteps. She has made her directorial debut.

Diya, the offspring of actor Suriya and actress-turned-wife Jyothika, is now continuing their acting genes. But, unlike her parents, Diya has directed the film in her debut, not acted in it. Made under the family unit 2D Entertainment, Diya has directed a docu-drama short film titled 'Leading Light' in her debut.
'Leading Light' focuses on the journey of female crew members working in Bollywood. Currently screening at the Regency Theatre in Los Angeles for an Oscar-qualifying run, it marks a remarkable start to Diya's career. 'Leading Light' is a documentary drama that explores the lives and journeys of the women who work behind the scenes as the lightning bolts of filmmaking. This is an aspect and people who are often overlooked. Their stories are rarely seen on screen. It shows Dia's courage to make her debut with a film on such a subject.
This short film is screening daily at the Regency Theatre from September 26th to October 2nd. With its fresh perspective and powerful storytelling, "Leading Light" is attracting attention from both audiences and critics.
The film is produced by Surya and Jyothika, who have supported their daughter's project. Announcing the film's launch, they said, "Under the banner of 2D Entertainment, we are proud to support 'Leading Light,' a docu-drama directed by Diya Surya. It is based on the lives of Bollywood's female crew."
