'The Bhootni' actor talks about the advice given to fake love to make the film a hit

Navneet Malik, the actor of the movies 'The Freelancer', 'Love Hostel' and 'Deewaniyat', will next be featured in the movie 'The Bhootni' along with Sanjay Dutt. Actor Navneet Malik revealed a while back that a seemingly weird task was asked of him by the industry people. He was surprised to know about it. 

Navneet said, 'Before my film, someone told me that why don't you spread rumors of dating your co-star? If people talk about it, it will create an atmosphere.' The actor was surprised to hear this and could not believe it.

Navneet said, 'This has become a trend in Bollywood. Before the release of the film, there are rumours that the co-stars of the film are dating each other. Some people adopt this formula to make their film a hit. The rumoured romance stays in the headlines. This draws your attention towards the film. After this people watch the film. For them, this is another way of doing business. But for me, this is wrong.'

He said, 'I cannot make a joke of my life. I come from a place where there is some respect for relationships. I cannot make fake relationships to attract attention. This method may seem right to some people but I don't like it. Respect and truth are very important for me.'

Talking about Navneet's work, he has won the hearts of the audience with 'Heropanti 2' and 'Love Hostel'. About acting in Bhootni, he said, 'It is not easy to act as Sanjay Dutt. It is a responsibility that is on your shoulders. I have given my 200 percent.'
