“Very Emotional Journey”: Shriya Saran on Reuniting for Drishyam 3

The crime thriller "Drishyam" is coming with the third installment of the film. "Drishyam 3" has already begun in Hindi and Malayalam. Once again, the character of Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) and his family are returning. Actress Shriya Saran is very excited about the film. She has described her journey with the film and talked about "Drishyam 3."

Speaking with India Today, Shriya Saran expressed her happiness about "Drishyam 3." Speaking about reprising her role in the world of "Drishyam," the actress said, "I am very excited." This time, the story is exceptionally well written, very tight, and intriguing. This is the final installment in the franchise. We're currently shooting it. It's a very emotional journey for me because when I recently watched the film, I realized the first installment was shot more than ten years ago. We've all changed a lot. I've changed a lot since then."

Shriya explained that what makes Drishyam unique is its unique storytelling within the suspense genre. "I don't remember a mystery franchise having three installments. We've seen drama series, but a mystery franchise where the entire story revolves around a small incident is amazing. Believe me, the third installment is very interesting." She also hinted at a major twist in "Drishyam 3."

Shriya Saran believes there's a difference between the Malayalam and Hindi versions of "Drishyam." This is why the film offers a different experience and is loved in each language. He said that the Hindi version of "Drishyam 2" was very different from the Malayalam version. Even the Hindi version of "Drishyam 3" is quite different from the Malayalam one.

The "Drishyam" film series commenced with the release of a film in 2015. The film starred Ajay Devgn, along with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, and Ishita Dutta. The second film of this series, "Drishyam 2," was released in 2022, with Akshaye Khanna also a part of it. Now, almost four years later, the third installment of the franchise is set to release.
