Adil Hussain Opens Up About Acting Journey and Irrfan Khan’s Influence at DIFF 2025
Adil Hussain Remembers Irrfan Khan: Actor Adil Hussain recently attended the 14th edition of the Dharamshala International Film Festival. Here, he remembered the late actor Irrfan Khan.
The 14th Dharamshala International Film Festival is in full swing. Actor Adil Hussain also joined the event. In a session titled, "Truth and Acting," the actor shared experiences from his decades-long journey in independent and international cinema. He also remembered the late actor Irrfan Khan and admired his art.
Speaking to the audience during the event, actor Adil Hussain said, "If you act with honesty, it will always be different. One actor who often comes to my mind was like that. His name is Irrfan Khan." He tried his best to do so.' Further praising Irrfan Khan, he said, 'He tried his best to be as transparent as possible. Irrfan Khan gave his best in films like 'Qissa', 'The Namesake', 'Warrior', and others.'
Adil Hussain remembered Irrfan Khan's passing. He said, 'I never met him properly. We never talked about acting or anything else. But despite that, when he passed away, I felt a shock in my heart. I wondered why I felt this way. I was thinking, 'Oh God, why am I feeling so sad?'
The 14th edition of the Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) 2025 is being held in Dharamshala. It runs from October 30th to November 2nd. The festival will conclude today, November 2nd, with filmmaker Anuparna Roy's Venice-winning film 'Songs of Forgotten Trees.' There will also be a special masterclass with filmmaker Kiran Rao on the last day.
