Anil Kapoor Opens Up About Marriage, Passion and Patriotism Ahead of ‘Subedar’
Anil Kapoor praised his wife Sunita Kapoor and expressed how she understands his passion and love for acting and cinema. Anil also made several revelations about his upcoming film, 'Subedar'.
Actor Anil Kapoor is gearing up for the release of his new film 'Subedar,' directed by Suresh Triveni. Recently, actor Anil Kapoor shared some interesting revelations about his career and his new film 'Subedar,' along with a glimpse into his wife Sunita's contributions to his career.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Anil Kapoor spoke about his character in 'Subedar.' His character in the film is one who deeply loves both his work and his country. However, it is difficult to balance the two.
When asked if he drew inspiration from his relationship with his children for this role, Anil said no. He explained that his wife, Sunita Kapoor, helped him understand the character. Anil said, "I have a deep understanding of my relationship with my wife. My relationship with my daughters (Sonam and Rhea) is like that of friends. But the love I have for my wife, the passion I have for my work, and the love I have for my country all combine to create this character."
Anil said, "Sometimes there are scenes in the film where the character has to fulfill his duty and also spend time with his wife. But he thinks, 'I should complete my duty first, then I will be with my wife.' This struggle is always there in life. You want to be a good husband, a good father, and a good friend, but the passion for work is so intense that it creates a dilemma. My wife understood this passion and made many sacrifices. She fully supported me in my work and allowed me to be myself."
Anil and Sunita married on May 19, 1984. They have three children: Sonam Kapoor (an actress), Rhea Kapoor (a film producer), and Harshvardhan Kapoor (an actor).

The film "Subedar" will be released on Amazon Prime Video on March 5th. It will be available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film stars Anil Kapoor alongside Radhika Madan. Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik, and Mona Singh will also appear. The film is jointly produced by Opening Image Films and Anil Kapoor Film and Communication Network (AKFCN).
