Anubhav Sinha Says ‘Ra.One’ Flop Left Him Devastated, Calls Shah Rukh Khan a Kind and Emotional Person
Shah Rukh Khan Film: A film starring Shah Rukh Khan was released in 2011. It didn't perform well at the box office. The film's director has spoken out. Let's find out what he had to say.
Shah Rukh Khan is famously called the King of Bollywood. His fans eagerly wait for his movies. The majority of his movies are blockbusters. But there have been times when some of Shah Rukh's movies have failed to do well at the box office. This also incorporates the 2011 movie "Ra.One." The director of the movie said that he had produced the movie with Shah Rukh Khan with great hopes, and the movie didn't meet his expectations. This devastated him.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Ulta Chashma UC, director Anubhav Sinha spoke about the impact of the failure of his film "Ra.One" on him. During the conversation, Anubhav Sinha said, "I meet a lot of people now who tell me they loved 'Ra.One,' but at the time, the film was declared a flop. I was very sad after it flopped. I made a film with Shah Rukh Khan, and it flopped and people didn't like it at the time. That film broke me emotionally. It took me time to recover."
Speaking about working with Shah Rukh Khan, Anubhav Sinha said, "I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet Shah Rukh Khan. I value him more than just a star or an actor. Even if I never work with him, I know him as a human being, and that is enough for me. You can learn a lot from him. He is a very emotional and kind person. Despite his stardom, he has a middle-class mindset. I don't have a story for him right now, and he won't have time for me either."
After the release of "Ra.One," Anubhav Sinha produced films like "Mulk," "Article 15," and "Thappad."
Shah Rukh Khan recently won the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in "Jawaan." The actor was last seen in the 2023 film "Dunky." He will soon be seen in the film "King."
