Arjun shared an old photo with his mother on Instagram and wrote in the caption, "Happy Birthday, Mom. I miss you a lot today. Life has been a little difficult for me lately, but no matter what. I have fought through difficulties before, and I will continue to fight and rise again."

Arjun further wrote, "Mom, you have taught me how to face life with dignity and grace." We will get through this difficult time. See you again soon, and one day we will celebrate your birthday together, your loving son, Arjun.

Mona suffered from cancer and high blood pressure, and passed away in 2012 from multiple organ failure.
