A few days ago, musician A.R. Rahman became embroiled in controversy due to his statement. He accused Bollywood of being influenced by communalism. He made this statement in an interview with the BBC Asian Network. Following this, many Bollywood figures opposed his statement, while others also expressed support. Recently, "Ramayana" fame actor Arun Govil also reacted to Rahman's comment.
In an interview with PTI, Arun Govil said, "It has never happened in our industry that people have been denied work due to communal discrimination. There are examples of this in our industry. People from every religion have worked in our industry. Even today, there is no such thing." In fact, the film industry is the only industry where there is no communal discrimination. We once had actors like Dilip Kumar. He was the king of the industry in his time. Even today, Shahrukh, Salman, and Aamir are all big stars. If there were communal discrimination, how would they have become stars?
Musician AR Rahman, who was embroiled in controversy after his statement, recently performed a concert in the United Arab Emirates. In this concert, Rahman sang songs like "Jana Gana Mana" and "Vande Mataram." This concert and his performance are currently in the news, with many praising him.
