Zeenat Aman Shares Throwback to First Shoot, Opens Up About Early Modeling Days
Zeenat Aman's First Shoot: Veteran actress Zeenat Aman has shared a glimpse of her first professional photoshoot, along with an interesting anecdote.
Actress Zeenat Aman made herself famous through her brilliant performance skills in films made during the '60s and '70s. Besides that, she became famous through her style sense. In one of her latest posts on her social media account, she posted a picture taken during her first-ever photo shoot, where her mother had prepared her.
Zeenat Aman shared a black and white photo on her Instagram account, writing, "I don't remember the exact year, but I still remember the excitement I felt that morning. My mother was taking me to the famous Hamilton Studios in Ballard Estate to have my first professional photographs taken." I had a feeling that modeling might be my future, and even if that didn't happen, it would at least be a good way to earn some pocket money while I continued my studies. I had just graduated from St. Joseph's Convent with flying colors and returned to my home in South Mumbai with my mother.
The actress further wrote, "Many well-known filmmakers lived in our neighborhood. Big film stars lived in our street, and many of my close friends were also entering the entertainment industry. Films were the main topic of our parties and conversations, and this environment inspired me to enter this field. Any girl my age from South Mumbai would know how exciting it was to get her photographs taken at Hamilton Studios. Many well-known personalities have had their portraits taken there.
Zeenat Aman further wrote, "My mother never did anything half-heartedly. Especially when it came to her only and beloved child. And so, she styled my hair. She lovingly dressed me in a sari, and when I shyly posed for the camera for the first time, she herself stood behind the camera. Many years after this photo was taken, film actor Dev Anand discovered me. It's worth noting that Dev Anand and Zeenat Aman worked together in "Hare Rama Hare Krishna." They subsequently worked together in hit films like "Heera Panna," "Ishq Ishq Ishq," and "Prem Shastra."
In addition to this photo, Zeenat Aman also shared another photo, which is believed to be hers, but it's actually not hers. Zeenat Aman wrote, "So, that was the story of the first photo. Now let's talk about the second photo. This photo is completely fake." I don't know how or where such rumors originate, but for several years now, this photo has been circulated as a picture of a young Zeenat Aman. I can see a bit of myself in this photo, but the truth is, it's not me.
