Grammy Awards: Indian-American singer and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon has won the Grammy Award in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category for her album Triveni.

Indian-American singer and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon won the Grammy Award in the category of Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album. She received this award for the album Triveni. The 67th edition of the biggest music awards ceremony organized by the Recording Academy was held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Chandrika is also a global business leader and the elder sister of former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi. She won the award along with her colleagues South African flutist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Iru Matsumoto. The Chennai-raised musician expressed his happiness after winning the Grammy Award. He said in an interview with the Recording Academy that it feels amazing.

Other nominees in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category include Break of Dawn by Ricky Kej, Opus by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chapter 2: How Dark It Is Before Dawn by Anoushka Shankar, and Warriors of Light by Radhika Vekaria. She said, "We had a lot of really great nominees in this category. The fact that we won this award is a really special moment for us. We also had a lot of great musicians nominated along with us."

Expressing her happiness while accepting the award, she said, "Music is love, music is light, and music is laughter, and let us all be surrounded by love, light, and laughter. Thank you for the music and thank you to all the people who make music." This was Chandrika Tandon's second Grammy nomination after 2009's 'Soul Call' and her first win.

The album 'Triveni', released on August 30, 2024, consists of seven tracks including "Pathway to Light", "Chant in A", "Journey Within", "Aether Serenade", "Ancient Moon", "Open Sky", and "Seeking Shakti".
