Recently, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who has been part of "Welcome to the Jungle," has shared his opinion on what makes movies successful and provided a good example in terms of "Saiyaara."
During the discussion on INS regarding the success of "Welcome to the Jungle," Akshay Kumar said, "If a film is supposed to be a hit, there is something that it will achieve." After that, he talked about another movie "Saiyaara." Akshay Kumar stated, "This film had come up with a new boy and a new girl. What was its name?"
When "Welcome to the Jungle" director Ahmed Khan reminded him of the film's name, Akshay continued, "Yes, Saiyaara." I want to ask, what was the big event of that film? There wasn't one. It was just that its songs were popular, and people loved the romance in the film. Both actors did a good job, and luck was on their side.
'Saiyaara' is a romantic drama film directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film stars two newcomers, Ahan Pandey and Aneeth Padda.
The story revolves around the emotional relationship between a musician and a poet. Released on July 18, 2025, the film received widespread acclaim from both audiences and critics. It grossed over ₹576 crore worldwide, becoming one of the biggest hits of 2025. It was also the highest-grossing romantic film of that year.
Akshay Kumar's film 'Welcome to the Jungle' is also performing well in theaters. According to reports, the film earned ₹20 crore on its second day, Saturday, which is more than the ₹15.25 crore it earned on its first day.
The film also earned ₹3.75 crore in paid previews before its release. This makes it the third-highest Bollywood film opening this year. The first is "Border 2," which opened with ₹43.50 crore, while the second is "Dhurandhar: The Revenge," which opened with ₹23.60 crore.
