This announcement puts an end to months of speculation suggesting that Amitabh Bachchan would provide the voice for Jatayu; instead, audiences will hear Anupam Kher's voice. The battle between Jatayu and Ravana is expected to be one of the film's most emotional and powerful sequences.

The film 'Ramayana' will be made in two parts. Sunny Deol will be seen in the role of Hanuman. The film's music has been composed by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. The first part of 'Ramayana' is set to release in theaters this Diwali. The second part will be released next year, that is, in 2027, on the occasion of Diwali.
