A dispute over copyright and trademark has arisen again in the film industry. South Indian actor and producer Ravi Mohan has been dealt a big blow by the Delhi High Court. The court has issued an interim stay order over the use of the title of his upcoming film "Bro Code." The court has said that the name is already trademarked by Indospirit, a well-known beverage brand.

Just a few weeks ago, Ravi Mohan received relief from the Madras High Court regarding the title, but now the Delhi High Court has ruled against him. The court clearly stated that the name "Bro Code" is already known as a well-known beverage brand and using it in the film's promotion could mislead audiences. The court has directed Ravi Mohan Studios not to promote or release their film under this name until the matter is fully resolved.

Ravi Mohan argued in court that the Madras High Court had previously granted him relief in this case based on "groundless threats," but the Delhi High Court rejected this, stating that once a trademark infringement suit is filed, the court cannot be prevented from issuing an interim order.

The court has currently issued an order dated October 14, 2025, directing the film studio to either change or temporarily suspend the name "Bro Code." The next hearing is scheduled for December 23, 2025.

Actor Ravi Mohan recently appeared in the romantic-comedy film "Kaadhalika Neramillai." He is now making his director and producer debut with "An Ordinary Man," starring Yogi Babu in the lead role. He will also be seen in "Bro Code" alongside Arjun Ashokan, S.J. Suryah, Upendra, Shraddha Srinath, Gowri Priya, and Malavika Manoj.
