Hema Malini Breaks Down After Dharmendra’s Death: “Life Feels Colorless Without Him”

Hema Malini is completely shattered after the death of Dharmendra. She is mostly seen remembering Dharmendra and expressing her sadness. This time also, she did the same. This is the first time when Hema Malini has revealed the truth about her life turning completely colorless after the death of Dharmendra. She also gave a statement regarding Sunny Deol because after the death of Dharmendra, there were reports of the rift between Sunny Deol and his stepmother, Hema Malini. In this context, Hema Malini has spoken from her heart about the Deol family. She also revealed some of Sunny Deol's behavior.

Hema Malini spoke exclusively with The Indian Express. During this, she revealed her grief over Dharmendra's passing and spoke about their 57-year-long loving relationship. Hema Malini said, "We were together for 57 years. I can't imagine life without him. Even though we weren't together all the time, he would ask me every minute where I was and when I was returning." Hema said that Dharmendra would often return from his Lonavala farmhouse just to spend time with Hema and their daughters (Esha and Ahana).

Recalling Dharmendra's last days, Hema became emotional. She said, "When he came home from the hospital, I was confident he would recover quickly. I thought he would still be with us for another year or two, but how did all this happen suddenly? We can't blame anyone; I can only say he lived a wonderful life. He was loved by millions. He was everyone's favorite, and I'm proud that the one everyone loved loved me."

Reports of discord between Dharmendra's two families (Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini) often surface. Recently, when both families held separate prayer meetings, people made it a big issue and started gossiping. Hema took a firm stance on this, saying, "Our relationship has always been very good and cordial. Everything is still great. I don't know why people think there's something wrong between us.

It's because people want gossip. Why should I respond to them? Do I need to explain? Why should I? It's my life. My personal life, our personal life. We are absolutely happy together and very close to each other. That's all I want to say. I have nothing more to say on this matter. I don't respond to baseless speculation."

Hema further spoke about Sunny Deo's treatment of her and his plans to build a museum in memory of his father, Dharmendra. She said, "Sunny is planning this. So he will do it. We'll do it after consultation. He tells me everything he does. He often asks, 'Are you okay? Are you recovering?'"

When Hema was asked if she saw Dharmendra's last film, '21', she said, "My wounds are still fresh. I can't watch it now; it would be too emotional for me. My daughters are saying the same thing. Maybe I'll watch it when some time has passed."
