Kareena Kapoor on Evolving Attitude Toward Money: ‘It’s About Independence, Not Just Bank Balance’

Recently, Kareena Kapoor attended an event in Delhi. Here, she shared how her perspective on money has changed over the years. She said, "I think my perspective on money has changed. Obviously, working for the last 26 years has completely changed how I view money."

Kareena further said, "These days, actresses are also saying that they should be paid equally to their male counterparts." So I think it's given women a new perspective. It shows what money means today. I think it's much more than just having money in the bank.

Sharing her thoughts on the financial situation of women, the "Jab We Met" star explained that she never compromised on her acting independence even after marriage. She said, "Today, people want to experience life. So, I think that experience comes with time. It comes through working, through marriage. Then you feel like you want your own independence. That's what happened to me." Kareena further added, "I always wanted to have my own independence as an actress, even when I married Saif. I feel like I enjoy my money every day."

Kareena Kapoor recently started shooting for director Meghna Gulzar's film "Daara," in which she will share the screen with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
