Mrunal broke silence on the news of dating Dhanush, told the truth about the relationship with the South superstar

For the past few days, the names of South star Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur were being connected with each other in Bollywood corridors. The other day, while attending the screening of the movie 'Son of Sardar 2', a similar scenario was witnessed when actress Mrunal Thakur and South superstar Dhanush were spotted standing together near each other. There had been plenty of talks about these two being connected on social media, but now Mrunal has quashed all such rumors.

The matter started when Dhanush reached the screening of Mrunal Thakur's film 'Son of Sardar 2'. Earlier, Mrunal was also seen at the wrap-up party of Dhanush's film 'Tere Ishq Mein'. The increasing meetings and social media interactions between the two fuelled speculations about their relationship. Some portals even claimed that the two were dating, although now Mrunal herself has reacted to this.

In a recent interview with 'Only Kollywood', Mrunal clarified that her relationship with Dhanush is only a friendship. She called these rumours funny and said that she laughed after reading these discussions. According to her, Dhanush's presence at the screening of 'Son of Sardar 2' was only on the invitation of Ajay Devgan and it is wrong to link it to any romantic angle.

From Mrunal and Dhanush attending the same event to Mrunal following Dhanush's sisters on Instagram, everything became a part of rumours. But Mrunal called these speculations just friendly and said that it is unfortunate that such things are happening in the industry regarding cooperation and mutual respect.

Dhanush's personal life has also been in the headlines in the last few years. His marriage with superstar Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya lasted for 18 years but the couple separated in 2022 and got divorced in 2024. He has two sons - Lingaa and Yatra.
