Nana Patekar did not want to see Ranbir's 'Animal', later said- only one actor's acting was commendable

He said that earlier he did not want to watch this film, but when he saw this film, he found only Anil's acting restrained in this film.

During the promotion of his upcoming film Vanvaas, Nana Patekar has revealed this in an interview with Anil Kapoor. He said that he was initially not interested in watching Animal, but eventually agreed only to see Anil Kapoor's performance. Nana recalled telling Anil, "I saw Animal and I called you and said I saw Anil-mal. You are the only person who has acted with restraint in the film. Everyone else's acting was exaggerated.

The film 'Animal' was released last year in 2023. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, the film received a lot of love from the audience, but the film was also criticized a lot. The film was criticized for the violence shown in it, along with being misogynistic. Also, the film had to face criticism coming from many Bollywood celebrities. Nevertheless, it was a box-office success despite all the criticism.

Ranbir Kapoor, who appeared in the lead role in the film, also expressed his opinion during a podcast. He says that the picture was termed on social media as anti-women and was very much criticized. He says after doing the film, many people met him to say that he should not have done this film. He says, "I apologized to them and said that if they did not like my work, next time I will try much harder so they will like my acting.".
