Neena Gupta on Metro In Dino: Neena Gupta, who is busy promoting Metro In Dino, shared stories related to the film. Along with this, she also talked about her friendship with Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik.

Actress Neena Gupta will be next seen in Anurag Basu's film 'Metro In Dino'.Recently, Neena Gupta had an exclusive conversation with Amar Ujala Digital. In this, she spoke about her next film. Along with this, she remembered an incomplete film regarding Satish Kaushik, her past struggle, and those desires that have not been fulfilled even today.
Neena Gupta started the conversation by remembering the late actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik. The actress said, 'Satish ji had offered me a film. I did its look test, also sent photos. I had to wield a lathi in it, so I started learning that too. The role was very strong, and I was very excited, but then that film did not get made. See, this happens many times. Projects come, everything is decided, but then the matter gets stuck there. Many interesting things came, but did not get made. Maybe they are waiting for the right time. Satish's film was also one of them.'
Neena Gupta said that even today, she has the desire to do some roles in her mind. She said, 'There is still a lot to do. If I ever make a film, I would like to make an action film. My dream is to play the role of a spy. To tell you the truth, I have done those films in my dreams. My films also become hits there.'
Talking about her upcoming film 'Metro In Dino', the actress praised director Anurag Basu. She said, 'I did not need to read the script. Anurag called me, explained the role, and I said yes. I had liked the first Metro film very much, so I had confidence. The shooting experience was very fun. Anurag improvises on the spot. Sometimes he adds something new, sometimes he changes something. But whatever he does, it is a lot of fun. After waking up in the morning, I felt like going for the shoot, no matter the sun or anything else. The shoot was in Calcutta, but there was no sign of fatigue.
Anupam Kher is opposite Neena Gupta in the film. The chemistry between the two is as good in the trailer as it is in real life. She said that we used to talk a lot during the shoot. I used to talk a lot with Anupam. About my daughter Masaba's daughter, memories of school days, talks about my house in Goa, the winter sun of Mukteshwar. And most of all - about Satish Kaushik. The shooting days used to pass very quickly while talking about him.
Talking about her early days, Neena said that we are from the theatre. I have also swept the stage, have also done backstage work. We can do anything. The respect for work that I learned at that time is still with me. I came to Bombay from Delhi with the help of a friend. I used to make good baingan bharta at Prithvi theatre, so that friend would tell me to make it. I used to get dinner. The same friend used to laugh at me and say, have you come to Bombay to do this? And he used to ask me to pay for his cigarettes.
Neena Gupta further tells that at that time there was no such thing as work-life balance. While running after career, personal life was left behind somewhere. There was no time to settle down, maintain friendships, save relationships. Everything was inclined towards work.
