Nicki Minaj Backs Trump’s Remarks on Christian Persecution in Nigeria at UN Event

Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump raised the issue of persecution of Christians in Nigeria. He also shared this sentiment on social media, prompting a response from Nicki Minaj. After the issue came to light, an event was held at the United Nations. Nicki spoke on a panel at the US Mission, alongside US Ambassador Mike Waltz and religious leaders. She says, "Sadly, this problem is growing not only in Nigeria but also in many other countries around the world."

Minaj said she wanted to make it clear that protecting Christians in Nigeria doesn't mean taking sides or dividing people. She says, "It's about uniting people." She described Nigeria as a beautiful country with deep faith and traditions, which she looks forward to seeing. Nicki Minaj further said, "Religious freedom means that we can all practice our religion, no matter who we are, where we live, or what our beliefs are."

It's worth noting that US President Donald Trump said a few days ago that Christians in Nigeria are struggling for their survival. He has directed the Pentagon to begin preparing for possible military action in this West African country. However, experts differ with Trump. They say that some attacks are targeted at Christians. But most of the attacks, the violence in Nigeria is happening to almost everyone, no matter what side of faith is involved.
