Payal Kapadia got nominated in DGA Award for film 'All We Imagine As Light'

Payal Kapadia's film 'All We Imagine As Light' has been in the news ever since it was released. It has won many awards and has received nominations for many prestigious awards. The Directors Guild of America (DGA) has nominated Payal Kapadia for 'All We Imagine as Light' for the impending 2025 Awards. This nomination comes as Payal's first in the director category. The news of nomination in the DGA Awards comes at a time when Kapadia missed out on winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Director - Motion Picture just a few days ago.

DGA is an entertainment guild that represents the interests of film and TV directors in the US motion picture industry and abroad. The nomination was declared by the DGA on Wednesday night, January 8. Payal is going to compete with internationally known faces. According to a Variety report, other nominees in this category include Megan Park for 'My Old Ass', RaMell Ross for 'Nickel Boys', Halfdan Ullman Tandel for 'Armand', and Sean Wang for 'Didi'.

'All We Imagine as Light' is directed by Payal Kapadia. This is the first feature film directed by her. It stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, Hridu Haroon, and Aziz Nedumangad.
