Mardaani 3: Rani Mukerji on SRK's True Friendship: Rani Mukerji, who is gearing up for the release of her film 'Mardaani 3,' spoke about receiving the National Award for Best Actor with her friend Shah Rukh Khan, calling the moment "extremely special." Rani also shared that Shah Rukh has always guided her as a true friend.
The close friendship of Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee is well-known in the industry. They have collaborated in various big-ticket movies like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,' 'Chalte Chalte,' and 'Paheli.' Recently, at the 71st National Film Awards, both of them won their first National Awards. Shah Rukh won the National Award for 'Jawaan,' and Rani won the National Award for 'Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway.' Rani has now come up with various details regarding her friendship with Shah Rukh.
In a recent Zoom interview, Rani explained that the moment she and Shah Rukh received the National Award was very special and personal. It symbolized their years-long relationship and journey together. Rani said, "Just like childhood friends go to school and college together and help each other in life, winning this award is even more special because we started together."
Rani Mukerji called Shah Rukh Khan her idol. She said she has learned a lot from him as a professional, human being, and actor. She said, "Shah Rukh has been in the industry for 35 years, and I have been in the industry for 30. Whether we win awards or not, we always put our best efforts into our films. That day, the win felt even more special."
Rani also spoke about her friendships with Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Kajol, and Shah Rukh since the days of "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai." She gave a message to young people that true friendships are formed when you are "nobody." Such friends love you for who you are, not for who you will become. Rani said, "There's no transaction in friendship. The more love you give, the more you get. It's based on trust, honesty, and emotional support. My friendship has lasted so long because we've never asked for anything in return, only love, kindness, and trust."
Rani Mukerji will soon be seen in “Mardaani 3,” which will be released in theaters on January 30, 2026. This will be the third installment of the action-thriller series, in which Rani will be seen as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy once again.
