Sean Diddy Combs Transferred to New Jersey Prison: Sean Diddy Combs has been transferred to a New Jersey prison to serve a four-year sentence for prostitution.
American Hip-hop singer, rapper, and businessman Sean Diddy Combs has been transferred to a New Jersey prison to serve four years for prostitution. This decision came after a special appeal from his lawyers, who requested the judge to transfer Diddy to a prison where he could benefit from a drug rehabilitation program.
Sean Combs was transferred from the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, to Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey. The prison lies near the McGuire Dix Lakehurst Base, a military complex about 55 kilometres away from Philadelphia.
This prison is one of the few federal prisons in the United States that offers a specialized residential drug treatment program for drug addicts. Diddy's attorney, Tenny Geragos, told the court that this location would be best for his client, as it would provide him with opportunities for rehabilitation, family visits, and mental recovery.
Sean Diddy Combs was accused of traveling across the country by private jet for several years with his girlfriends and male sex workers to engage in sexual activities while high on drugs. He was convicted of these charges in July 2025. However, he was acquitted of more serious charges, such as sex trafficking and racketeering, which could have carried a life sentence. The court sentenced him to 50 months in prison. He has already served approximately 14 months, and his sentence could be reduced if he participates in correctional programs in prison. It is estimated that he could be released from prison on May 8, 2028.
Diddy's lawyers have filed an appeal with the Federal Appellate Court, requesting that the appeal be heard expeditiously so that if the sentence or conviction is overturned, Diddy can be released early. Former US President Donald Trump also stated that Diddy had requested a presidential pardon from him, but Trump has not made any decision on the matter.

Before his sentencing, Sean Combs wrote an emotional letter to the court, stating, "I have experienced a spiritual reset in prison. I am now on the path to a drug-free, non-violent, and sober life." However, only time will tell how much truth there is in Diddy's words and how much better a person he will emerge from this time.
