Sarke Chunar Teri Controversy: Ravi Kishan Demands Ban on Vulgar Content
Ravi Kishan on Sarke Chunar Teri: Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt's song "Sarke Chunar Teri" is currently in the news. The song is facing widespread criticism. Recently, actor and MP Ravi Kishan also reacted to it.
The song "Sarke Chunar Teri," from the film "KD: The Devil," featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, has been under controversy due to the offending lyrics and dance in the track. Yesterday, actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut, a parliamentarian, heavily criticized this song, saying that Bollywood has gone beyond "obscenity." Now, actor Ravi Kishan has reacted to this controversy. He says that songs like this should not be promoted. He cited the film "Dhurandhar" as an example.
Actor and Lok Sabha MP Ravi Kishan condemned the objectionable lyrics of the recently released song "Sarke Chunar," saying that such songs should not be promoted in society. Speaking to news agency ANI, he cited the example of the film "Dhurandhar." He said that "Dhurandhar" is a film that generated revenue of thousands of crores without any obscenity.
Ravi Kishan said, "Any obscenity that hurts our culture and values should not be promoted. Now, filmmakers should also consider films like "Dhurandhar," which can generate revenue of thousands of crores without any extra elements. Such things should not be introduced in this country for business, to promote a song, or to promote a film. It is not a good idea. I oppose it."
Speaking to ANI yesterday, Kangana said, "Bollywood has crossed all limits in terms of vulgarity, gimmicks, and attention-seeking. The entire country is condemning and criticizing them. But I don't think they have any shame. This kind of vulgarity and indecency needs to be dealt with more strictly. I think Bollywood needs to be strictly reined in."
The Karnataka State Women's Commission has urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to take strict action against films that allow vulgar lyrics that demean women. In a letter to the CBFC's regional director, the Karnataka State Women's Commission expressed serious concern over the use of derogatory and obscene lyrics in the song "Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke" from the film "KD: The Devil."
