Varun Dhawan Opens Up About Drinking on Set to Get Into Character

Currently, Varun Dhawan is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari." The actor is busy promoting the film. At the same time, Varun recalled an incident from the film "Jug Jug Jio," where he began drinking on set to immerse himself in the character's skin for a scene. The actor revealed that he started drinking as early as 7:30 in the morning.

During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Varun shared this incident when asked about the most awkward moment on a film set. He revealed that while shooting the climax scene with Anil Kapoor, in which his character had to deliver a speech while intoxicated, he started drinking with Manish Paul at 7:30 a.m. to get into character. Varun explained, "During that climax scene with Anil sir, I get drunk and deliver a speech. So, we had to get drunk. We started at 7:30 a.m. Manish and I started drinking early in the morning, and by 2 p.m., our voices were slurring. Then I had to sober up, but since the scene wasn't complete, I had to do the same the next day."

Varun Dhawan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari." The film is scheduled to release in theaters on October 2nd. Varun will also star alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Manish Paul, and Akshay Oberoi in lead roles.
