‘Varun Dhawan Will Surprise Everyone’: Border 2 Producer Praises Actor’s Transformation

The upcoming film "Border 2" is set to hit the theaters very soon. Fans are very excited and have been awaiting all the information regarding the film. The producer of the film, Nidhi Dutta, has commented on the film's cast. She talked about the casting of actor Varun Dhawan in the patriotic role. She also mentioned the physical transformation of the actor.

In a conversation with India Today, Nidhi Dutta, regarding Varun Dhawan's performance as Major Hoshiyaar Singh Dahiya, said his casting was no coincidence. She said that the actor's character surprised the makers when they saw the completed film. She said, "If he (Dhawan) surprised you in the trailer, he will surprise you in the film too. He surprised me." I was on set, and when I saw the film, I thought, 'Oh my God, is this what we were doing? Is this what we were making?'

Praising Varun Dhawan, Nidhi Dutta said, "I think it's commendable that a Punjabi boy from Bombay played the role of Hoshiyaar Singh. He lived the character, whether he was doing action scenes or anything else. He was falling, he was getting hurt, and the passion with which he did it, I don't think anyone else could have done it."

Nidhi Dutta's comments about Varun Dhawan come at a time when, after the release of the song "Ghar Kab Aaoge" from the film, he became the target of trolls for his expressions and acting. Varun Dhawan has also responded to the matter. He said, "What I work for will be revealed this Friday."

The film "Border 2" stars Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh, along with Sunny Deol in the lead role. The film is a sequel to "Border" (1997). "Border 2" is scheduled to release on January 23, 2026, just days before Republic Day.
