Recently, cricketer Harbhajan Singh called for a ban on online pornographic websites and stricter regulations. Now, Shilpa Shetty's husband, Raj Kundra, is echoing this sentiment. In an interview with ANI, he said, "I want to address an issue that deserves the immediate attention of the entire nation. For the past four years, I have faced constant trolling, hate, and media trials. An image has been created of me that is far from reality. But my statement today is not about me, but for the betterment of our society.
He further says, "Today the internet is filled with free, unrestricted content. It is degrading, addictive, and easily available. This is not just a moral concern, but a social concern."
Raj Kundra further called for a ban on pornographic content. He says, "India should consider enacting strict regulations, including a ban on pornographic websites, just as has been done in countries like the UAE. Social media should be banned for children under the age of 16, to create a safe and responsible digital environment."
It should be noted that in 2021, Raj Kundra was accused of circulating pornographic material through a mobile application. He faced legal difficulties in this alleged case. Raj Kundra denied these allegations.
